Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL)
Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL) was founded in 1966 (under the name “Norwegian Caribbean Line”) by two shipping magnates - Knut Kloster (Norwegian, 1929-alive) and Ted Arison (Israeli, 1924-1999). Passenger shipping operations started with one vessel (cruise ferry/combined cruise ship and car ferry) operating on short and cheap Caribbean cruises. When Ted Arison left NCL in 1972 (to establish Carnival Cruise Lines), Knut Kloster acquired more ships for NCL’s Caribbean operations.
What's so special about NCL? You can experience freestyle cruising. Imagine cruising just the way you want it with no timetable to follow but your own. That's what NCL provides for all its vessels and itineraries. Feel the warm sun and ocean breezes along the Waterfront - revolutionary quarter-mile oceanfront promenade. Meet Norwegian's idyllic private island. Hit the deck and dance all night at the most popular parties including Glow and Nashville Nights. Step into the world of excitement in ThrillPlex (the biggest thrills at sea) activity zones avaliable on Breakaway Plus and Breakaway class vessels. Spectecular dinning choices. Due to flexibility of no fixed dinning times or pre-assigning seating, guests have more freedom to enjoy more dinning options than days of the cruise.
Besides, guests can enjoy the largest race tracks at sea, hang with friends on the largest ropes course at sea, whoosh over the side of the vessel on Ocean loops in the Aqua Park, immerse themselves into the virtual gaming wonderland.
