Royal Caribbean announced that the 5,492-passenger ship will undergo a major renovation costing more than $100 million. The ship will feature new venues and attractions similar to those on other Oasis-class ships, as well as upgrades to other public areas.

The ship will leave dry dock after the renovation is completed in April 2025 and will sail to Barcelona. Throughout the summer, the ship will offer week-long cruises in the Western Mediterranean, visiting ports such as Palma de Mallorca, Rome (Civitavecchia), La Spezia and Marseille.

With the new Icon and Utopia of the Seas, and now the transformation of Allure of the Seas, the company has significantly expanded the options for vacationers, offering them even more ways to spend an unforgettable vacation with Royal Caribbean. Allure will be updated to reflect the best of Royal Caribbean.

New venues will include the tiki bar Pesky Parrot, which recently debuted on sister ship Utopia of the Seas, the Mason Jar restaurant and bar, the Playmakers sports bar and gaming area, and two bars, The Lime & Coconut.

Allure of the Seas will also feature new attractions including The Perfect Storm triple waterslide, the Ultimate Abyss dry slide, a laser tag arena with light-up elements, a new moon-themed Royal Escape Room, and a Splashaway Bay waterpark for kids and teens. The Adventure Ocean kids’ club and Social298 teen zone will also be updated with new layouts and activities.

The ship will feature a new category of cabins – Ultimate Panoramic Suites, located above the bridge and offering 200-degree panoramic views of the ocean.

Allure of the Seas was first launched in 2010 as the second ship in the Oasis class. After completing the 2025 summer season in Europe, the ship will return to Fort Lauderdale, where it will offer 6-8 night cruises to the Eastern Caribbean and the Bahamas.
